Suzy & Dave's North Carolina Wedding By Meredith Ryncarz Photography

Today's wedding is one of those that as I go through the images tugs at my heart. I wish I was able to post every image from Suzy and Dave's special day. Through these images you can see that their big picture and focus is family. This wedding has so many great and special details that I am simply including the photographer, Meredith Ryncarz's write up. Thank you Meredith for sharing this North Carolina treat with us today!

With a focus on their love of literature and family heritage, Suzy and Dave got married at a retreat center in North Carolina where Suzy attended summer camp as a child. All of the decorations and seating were handcrafted by the bride, groom, and family members. The white benches were made by the groom, the handcrafted flowers from pages of the Lord of the Rings, and the archway from reclaimed wood that will later be turned into a headboard for their master bedroom. The engagement and wedding bands are one of a kind creations by David Holloway designs. They were married by her father who is a minister in front of a fireplace pulled from the home where Dave grew up with his grandparents. The invitations and wedding day program were created by the bride who has a background in graphic design and had a slight subtle nod to their love of Tolkien and literature in general.?The couple met while accidentally cohosting a Superbowl party and had their first date over coffee at the Tupelo Honey Cafe. Dave proposed at the Biltmore Estate where his parents and Suzy's parents both happened to have honeymooned. The bride wore an Essense of Australia gown with a tulle overlay and then changed into an infinity dress for her going away gown. She went barefoot for the ceremony with handmade barefoot sandals and wore TOMS for the rest of the day. The couple opted to do a First Look at a local park and Suzy had created a book all about why she loved Dave that he read aloud.
