I saw these photos when they first showed up in my inbox, then again as I planned the month, and yet again as I got this post up and ready for you; and they are still making me smile. This private residence in the rolling hills of Virginia was a perfect and simple background for Brandy and Trey's elegant southern wedding. From hand crafted benches and a custom alter, all designed by Brandy's dad, this wedding was a family affair. The pictures really do tell quite a beautiful, and oh so fun story of celebration!

Brandy's vision for their wedding day was planted long before they began planning. She envisioned an outdoor wedding among the rolling hills of the Davis family property. A spring wedding with blue skies, blush bridesmaids and dapper groomsmen alongside her husband-to-be. And well, that vision came to life perfectly on their wedding day in May. The skies were a vibrant blue, and benches made by her father lined the ceremony area where they planned to say their vows.
The Jones and Davis family came together in every possible way in helping Brandy + Trey's day play out perfectly. Her dad made so many of the details throughout the ceremony and reception, from the benches to the planter boxes to the pergola to the cocktail bar. Brandy hand-illustrated all of the signage, and it was a family affair. Their day mixed southern elements with elegance to make for a day that embodied Brandy + Trey in every detail.
