Avy & Hogan's Island Home Airport Wedding

Avy and Hogan were married at the Island Home Airport Hanger last October. In 1943, H.F. Wattenbarger, Hogan's great grandfather, purchased the property for use as a farm and private airport. That same year he began leasing the airport for the wartime training of 300 Army Air Cadets after being approached by the US Air Force. After the training program ended, Wattenbarger resumed operation as a private airport and farm. On October 4, 1947 Hogan's grandparents were married at there, inspiring Avy and Hogan's own wedding.

  1. My wife and I are both from the South (GA and SC), and we wanted a true southern wedding. We couldn't have picked a better place! The food and service at Los angeles wedding venues are superb. This is the closest as I've found since moving.

  2. The prices were very reasonable, and the Flowers NYC were very high quality. The only sustainable florist in New York, believe it or not. They really care about sourcing locally and organically.
