Lori & Kenny's Backyard Wedding

This detail filled wedding was submitted by Memphis photographer, Amy Hutchinson. Hosted at the family's residence, with details designed by the groom, this wedding was both rustic and love filled.
How did you meet? Kenny and I initially met at the Boiling Point bar on February 27th 2013. I was there for my my friend Kari's birthday. Kenny was there for his now ex girlfriends birthday. Kari's husband David was trying to set us up because he thought Kenny could meet someone better for him . We didn't really talk that night because, well he had a girlfriend. Though I did think he was was the most handsome guy there, at the bar that night ;). months later I get a Facebook message from Kenny. I noticed he was single. So, we started messaging. He said he couldn't forget about me. He thought I was sweet, kind and pretty;). Then we eventually had met. We had our official first date November 3rd 2013. He picked me up and we went to Carrabbas. I think we both knew that there was something different abouth each other.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day? My favorite part of the day would have to be the ceremony. The arbor was so brilliantly decorated with beautiful flowers. Walking down the isle with my father was so special. I'm just so happy that I was able to experience that with him. He has heart /kidney issues and was scared I might not get to experience that moment with him . We did all acoustic guitar music, Canon in d by sung hu Jung. I picked acoustic guitar music because my dad is an amazing guitar player and I just wanted something that makes me think of him. The ceremony just felt magical . Kenny and I was surrounded by so much love from our families. We did a unity box instead of the candles /sand. Kenny made this box and burned our names and wedding day on it. We put in it letters to each other and letters from family along with a bottle of wine. We will open it on an anniversary and continue to write letters to each other as we grow together.

What do you love most about being married? I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. He is the sweetest kindest person you could ever meet. We make a great team and work though things really well. I can't wait to start a family one day in the future.
